Gates Oltsman (ゲイツ・オルトマン) is a character introduced in Psychic Force.
Story[]
Gates is a former soldier and the sole survivor of a indiscriminate psychiccers attack orchestrated by Keith Evans which cost the lives of his beloved wife Tina and his daughter Cheryl. Consumed by sadness and hatred, Gates volunteered himself to join the army's Anti-Psichiccer Unit, abandoning his old body and becoming a cyborg in order to take revenge. Though his brain remains intact, most of his body was replaced by mechanical parts.
His hatred causes him to lose the battle against the psychiccers, becoming unoperational at the end of the conflict. His body is captured by NOA agents and taken to one of their bases, where Carlo Belfrond erases his memories and reprograms him to become their ally in their fight against the Psychic Army.
Gates is very straight laced and quiet. Beneath the hard exterior however is a kind man who has a very strong sense of duty.
Fighting Style[]
Gates is a powerhouse type character, having high offense and defense while lacking in speed. Though he is slow, he has the tools to pull the opponent towards himself and strong projectiles to fight at long range.
